Lumina Circles

A sacred space for women to...

Gather, belong, and...

Shine

Next Lumina Circle is Monday 26th October at 7 pm

Welcome!

I'm delighted you're here.

Especially because I believe women often find their way to circle at a time when something within them is ready for change.

It can begin with a longing for depth and connection that goes beyond everyday life. I know that's how it was for me.

I believe in the power of circle, in being heard, held and honoured together.

Lumina Circles

When women gather in circle, something magical and profound can happen.

We come together. We share. We listen. We witness. We connect.

No pressure to have perfect words, say anything, or be the best version of ourselves.

Circle is about being real together, sharing stories and silences.

Living in a society and within systems that prize speed, productivity, achievement, and individualism, circle offers a space for what feels diminished: to slow down, to soften, to take up space, and to know we're not alone.

In circle, you can be met with profound care and attention, arriving exactly as you are. Be it tired, tender, sad, joyful, hopeful, messy, fragile, curious. All parts of you are welcome.

Circle can offer a place for the parts of you that say I feel, I have, I need, I hurt, I love, and everything in between.

Circles are rooted in connection, a return to community in a culture that's forgotten so much.

It's remembering who you are - the essence of your truest nature, underneath the layers and versions of yourself you show to the world daily to fit into all the expectations and roles.

This is a space where masks and roles can fall away. Here in circle, you belong.

“Deep within us lies an untold story. It is here where our Journey begins: In between love and truth, side by side, as one, in the sacred circle of sisterhood.”

Sonja Phillips Hollie

My path to holding circle

Women's circles found me in a way I can only describe as soul-calling.

When I first came across the chance to train as a circle facilitator with the amazing Gemma Brady of Sister Stories, something deep in me stirred. It was a clear yes, even though I felt well out of my comfort zone. And at the same time, that's exactly what I knew I needed to help me build the connection and community I longed for.

For years, my work has been one-to-one as a counsellor within the NHS and in private practice and as a therapeutic coach. Alongside that, I've been creating the digital offers behind the scenes at She Can Shine. So stepping into group space, into circles, has felt different. Unfamiliar, and if I'm honest, a bit vulnerable too.

But the desire was stronger than the fear.

So I trusted it. I invested my time, my energy, my heart and my presence. And slowly, through the training and by being in lots of circles myself, I began to understand what this space can truly hold.

The ancestral lineage. The tenderness. The strength. The power of being seen without being judged. The space to slow down. To be together and honour all our differences.

This feels needed more than ever. In a world that's fast, fractured, and pulls us in every direction, circle brings us back to what truly matters: human connection.

"I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless. I will not fix you, for you are not broken. I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness, as you remember your light."

Sheree Bliss Tilsley

What's being in circle like?

Lumina circles will almost always be held under new and full moons. This feels aligned in many ways: by nature, by the circle, by the light or dark of the night and by trusting that these sacred days are the right time for every one of us who joins each Lumina circle.

You're welcome to join the circle regularly, as a one-off, or whenever you like, really! This ensures a changing dynamic for each circle, with numbers always kept small so the circle remains intimate, with plenty of time for sharing for everyone who wishes to. Booking will be available monthly.

It's a live, private event with no replays!

There is a gentle structure with a welcome, a theme, perhaps shaped by nature, life transitions, or spiritual intrigue*, with an opening question for us to reflect on, and some soft rituals offered to help us all arrive more fully into the circle.

You book your place for £21. You'll get the Zoom link and be sent a reminder beforehand.

When it's circle time, you might want to prepare with a candle, a notebook, and a pen, and ensure you're somewhere comfortable and private for 90 minutes, where you'll be undisturbed!

There is no advice-giving or solutions offered.

The beauty is in all of us gathering and being human together.

Circle is not therapy. It’s not coaching.

It’s returning to the ancient ways women have gathered around fires for thousands of years, under wide skies and stars, sharing stories, grief, laughter, and wisdom. There's such a magic of possibilities in circle.

*Lumina Circles welcome women of all backgrounds, beliefs, and none. They are secular, though we may explore spiritual themes like meaning, connection, and inner knowing in a non-religious way.

If you feel the call

You’ve read this far. I trust that something in you already knows why you’re here.

Maybe it feels like curiosity, nervousness, excitement, or a readiness.

I don’t believe women find circles by chance. I believe we arrive when we’re ready...

A note from me

Holding women’s circles feels like something my life has been gently preparing me for.

It's a privilege to create this space. To witness women arrive as they are and stories are spoken out loud, perhaps for the first brave time. If there is even the smallest flicker of curiosity in you, I invite you to trust it.

I would love to sit in circle with you.

With love,

Caroline xox
